The beginning

This project started as a concept to expand our organizing efforts..

We then brainstormed with our young activists on how this concept could fit within our social justice framework…

Our efforts culminated to concrete action and the New Organizing Project (NOP) was born.

The vision

We hope that through NOP, we will build an online movement of people engaged in dialogues that are sparked by content generated by our bloggers. But more than that, we hope to encourage participation of young Asian Pacific Americans on national political, social and cultural dialogues and transform the debate into one that is more dynamic and equitable.

We want to reach people, connect with them and move them to positively act on issues including immigration, civic engagement, youth empowerment, movement, racial justice, identity, representation and access. As an end result, we hope to build a momentum to move and organize an untapped online audience to become agents and voices for social change.

Join the conversation

Late August, we held a skills and knowledge building training and strategy session co-hosted with our affiliates KRC in Los Angeles and KRCC in Chicago. For the next 5 months, you can find their writings here. The conversation is also on the Twitterverse where you can use the hashtag #NOPit to join and contribute to the dialogue. Make sure you find us on Twitter & Facebook, too!

Say hello to our bloggers, engage with them on a daily basis, help and be a part of our exciting new movement.
