Job Announcement: Executive Assistant

The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC) seeks a hard-working, talented, and committed individual to serve as the Executive Assistant. NAKASEC seeks an individual who will provide executive-level administrative assistance to the Executive Director.This position is an entry-level opportunity for an individual interested in learning about and becoming involved with grassroots organizing and advocacy and non-profit administration.

Major Responsibilities Include:
•Manage the Executive Director’s calendars and schedule appointments.
•Screen incoming calls and correspondence and responds on behalf of the Executive Director when necessary.
•Provide logistical support for programs, events, meetings, and conferences.Assist with such tasks as
coordinating facilities arrangements, catering, travel.
•Take meeting notes and compose and prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents.
•Make travel arrangements, such as hotel and flight plans.Prepare detailed itineraries of travel plans and
•Perform clerical tasks, including but not limited to preparing expense reports.
•Provide support to the Board of Directors, as needed.
•Provide ongoing administrative support to the Executive Director in all facets of the program and
administrative work of NAKASEC.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently, think creatively and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong organizational and administrative skills, computer proficient, acute attention to detail, and demonstrated track record of dependability.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in an non-profit office setting strongly preferred.Fluency in the Korean language preferred, but not required.
