On January 22, the Korean Resource Center’s Social Service Director Myung Ju Yoon presented California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s proposed state budget cuts to Health and Human Services at a town hall sponsored by Assemblymember Mark Ridley-Thomas (48th District).100 Korean American seniors were informed about Medi-cal restructuring issues as well as other cuts to government programs for immigrants and low-income families.Ms. Yoon also addressed the ways the seniors can raise their concerns to elected officials and to the governor.
