YKASEC Launches the Korean Workers Right Project

By March 28, 2006No Comments

In New York, approximately 200,000 Korean workers work under harsh conditions: long hours and unsafe working environments. To address this growing problem, YKASEC will be launching the Korean Workers Right Project with the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. YKASEC’s new project will provide low-income Korean workers legal services that include legal advice, referrals, and representation. This project is the first ever on the East Coast and will serve as the foundation to develop the Korean American community’s knowledge and participation on labor issues.
