YKASEC celebrated their 20th Anniversary with the theme of “Advancing Immigrant Rights Through Civic Participation.”Over 400 supporters attended this milestone.A look back at YKASEC’s history and accomplishments came through a video screening and multi-media slideshow. City councilmember John Liu commended YKASEC for being an important voice for Korean American and immigrant communities. Banquet keynote Karen Narasaki of the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium and YKASEC Board Chair and President, Dr. Sukon Kim, offered words of hope and determination to forge the immigrant rights agenda for many more years to come.
