WASHINGTON DC – The National Korean American Service and Education Consortium (NAKASEC) is committed to promoting the civil rights and immigrant rights of all Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, who call this country their home. To honor our brothers and sisters from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) community, we join the National Queer Asian Pacific American Alliance (NQAPIA) in celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month.

“This month of June is a time to recognize the need to defend the rights of our community members regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and immigration status. We are a united community when it comes to civil rights for all. There should be no discrimination or second-class citizens in our community,” said Dae Joong (DJ) Yoon, executive director of NAKASEC.

NAKASEC has been dedicated to building a national movement for social change fighting for civil rights and immigrant rights since 1994.
