May 1st Events Nationwide: United for Immigration Reform in 2010

May 1st is International Workers’ Day and NAKASEC and its affiliates are working with ally organizations to organize May Day marches in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. The Korean American community will be joining hundreds of thousands of community members, leaders and allies to demand immigration reform now, workers rights and good jobs for all, and halting the raids and deportations that are separating our families.  To get involved, please contact the person listed for each event.

Chicago May Day

Location: March from Union Park to Daley Plaza

Time: 1 PM

Location: Olympic & Broadway to Temple & Broadway

Time: 10 AM – 3 PM

Washington D.C. May Day

Location: March from Alexandria, VA to march into D.C. At 1PM, meet at 15th and Constitution to walk to the rally at Lafayette Park at 2 PM

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
