Action Alert: Tell Lawmakers that Family Unity Cannot Wait! March for Immigration Reform in LA (10/13)

On October 13, families, faith, civic and community leaders in Los Angeles will hold a procession and rally in support of family unity and immigration reform legislation. At the same time, in Washington DC, hundreds of families will gather to call for a stop to family separation and to highlight important principles embedded in Congressman Luis Gutierrez’ immigration legislation, soon to be introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. Join the mobilization to let our nation’s leaders know that immigration reform and family unity cannot wait!

WHAT: “Family Unity Cannot Wait” procession and rally downtown Los Angeles.

WHO: Families impacted by immigration laws, civic, faith, and community leaders. Supporting organizations include APALC, CHIRLA, COFEM, CARECEN, LA Pico, Los Angeles Archdiocese Peace & Justice Committee, Korean Resource Center, NAKASEC, NILC, CLUE, and JACL-PSW.

12:00 Rally & Press Conference at L.A. County Board of Supervisors Hahn Building
