Students and supporters join a caravan to Sacramento for the CA Dream Act.
The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC) will join students, advocates and community leaders in Sacramento, CA, to participate in the Assembly Higher Education Committee Hearing on the California Dream Act and support its in 2011.
Every year, many undocumented immigrant youth and their families reach out for assistance to our Los Angeles affiliate, the Korean Resource Center. We encounter many bright students who attend college but struggle to pay tuition due to being barred from applying for financial aid based on their immigration status. The California Dream Act would be a huge support to their education, the fulfillment of their dreams and the building of a stronger America.
