President Obama Must Act Boldly on Immigration Reform
NAKASEC and Partners Launch Campaign for Administrative Relief
Annandale, VA – Today, the National Korean American Service and Education Consortium (NAKASEC) in Virginia launched a campaign for administrative relief. By August 11th, NAKASEC and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizational partners across the country will collect more than 10,000 post cards to urge President Obama to take bold executive action on immigration reform.
“The President must expand deferred action for the 11 million undocumented immigrants, stop deportations, and protect the refugee children detained along the border,” said Dae Joong “DJ” Yoon, Executive Director of NAKASEC. “Since the House leadership failed to act, President Obama now has a great moral responsibility to stop the suffering of millions of people. We will keep Congress accountable and we will continue to fight for a permanent solution to fix the broken immigration system.”
By mid-August, NAKASEC will mobilize AAPI community members to Washington DC and deliver the post cards to the White House. Please visit the NAKASEC website or click here to sign on online.
