Come & Join the DREAMathon!
Run to pass the DREAM Act!

Join fellow Chicagoans to run a 2.5 miles Dreamathon on September 22, 2007 Saturday. Dream students & supporters will run 2.5 miles to raise awareness about the DREAM Act & to make the DREAM come true THIS YEAR.

Date/time: September 22, 2007 Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm
Location: Legion Park (on the corner of Bryn Mawr & Kedzie). Go to http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com for the directions. Car pool is strongly recommended.

Pre-registration is not necessary. $5 for adults, $3 for students registration fee required to get T-shirts (limited as 200). Also, Drinks & Snacks can be purchased with $5 suggested donation.

Funds raised from the event will be contributed for the scholarship for DREAM students. Further information will be available on DREAM Scholarship.

If passed, the DREAM Act will allow eligible undocumented students to legalize their immigration status, and pursue higher educatioin to reach their dreams. This bill is introduced both in the Senate(25 co-sponsors) & House (51 co-sponsors), and Congress will discuss further about the DREAM Act once they get back in September.
