9-11 Recommendations Implementation Act

By March 28, 2006No Comments

Upon recommendations from the 9/11 Commission back in July of 2004, both chambers of Congress proposed intelligence legislations that would address national security. While the Senate version, the “National Intelligence Reform Act” (S. 2845) passed on the floor without anti-immigrant provision, the House bill, “9-11 Recommendations Implementation Act” (H.R. 10) passed with harsh anti-immigrant provisions including expanded expedited removal. Currently, both the Senate and the House bills are being considered in conference committee to be reconciled.
