October 20: “Time to Deliver” Health Care for America Now (HCAN) National Day of Action

In order to continue bringing attention to the current health reform policy debate as well as the activities leading up to congressional floor votes, HCAN (Health Care for American Now) Southern California will be holding a one day mobile rally and press event around the greater Los Angeles area on Tuesday, October 20th.

More than 20 organizations including patient and health advocates, doctors’ groups and unions that represent health care workers will travel throughout the greater Los Angeles area to mobilize the community as part of a national day of action in support of health reform. Rolling rallies for reform will visit clinics, a county hospital, small businesses and a church, to rally Angelenos to join others across the nation to call on Congress to pass affordable health care reform with a public option.

On Tuesday, October 20, join HCAN members and supporters at the following five locations during the specified times:

1) 7:00 am – LA County USC Medical Center
1200 N State St, Los Angeles 90033

2) 8:30 am – Glendale Health Center
501 North Glendale Avenue, Glendale 91206

3) 11:30 am – Leimert Park
S. Leimert Blvd. & W. 43rd St. Los Angeles 90008

4) 12:30 pm – Clinica Romero
123 S Alvarado St. Los Angeles, CA 90057
