On Friday July 17, New America Media will be hosting roundtable discussions on polling results revealing the Changing Face of Immigration to America: women. These poll results show that women constitute the majority of immigrants to America, and reveal insights about their experiences, dedication to their families’ success, and civic participation.

Participants will discuss what the data reveals about immigrant women’s’ lives and how that may contribute to a more comprehensive and accurate description of immigration.

NAKASEC executive director EunSook Lee will be a featured speaker at this event sharing her comments on the poll results and speak about the experiences of immigrant women in Los Angeles, particularly their specific challenges and the critical need to increase their civic engagement
