Do you know about the 40 Quarter Rule and how it can affect your healthcare affordability? Virginia, along with 5 other states, has an additional obstacle to qualifying for Medicaid coverage: legal permanent residents must establish a 40-quarter (10 year) work history before becoming eligible. People like refugees or elders may never be able to meet this requirement.
